Refugee Week

15th - 21st June is is Refugee Week, a festival celebrating the contributions and resilience of refugees that includes World Refugee Day on 20th June. Refugee Week gives us the opportunity to pray for refugees, migrants and asylum seekers around the world, for governments and those organisations supporting them and for ourselves, that we may find collective and individual responses to Pope Francis’ reminder of our Christian responsibility to welcome and protect those seeking refuge and a better future.The Justice and Peace group has produced a prayer sheet that will be included in the prayer packs and has also recorded a daily prayer that you will be able to find on facebook each day.The Refugee Week website has information about online events that you can attend this week and 8 simple acts that we can undertake https://refugeeweek.org.uk/simple-acts/.
