Thought from Fr. Colm - 15th March

Standing to greet worshippers after Mass at St. Godric's last Sunday, I was approached by the mother of a student at Durham University. She simply wanted me to convey her deep gratitude to our parishioners for making her family feel so welcome. And so I am using this opportunity to do just that, and I am sure that nobody thought for one second that there was a visitor from the south of England deeply touched by a warm welcoming smile and greeting before and after Mass. Message? Don't underestimate that 'hello' or smile to a stranger arriving at any of our churches.
