Thought from Fr. Colm - 25th January

The plight of homelessness is all too evident in most cities in Britain, and Durham is no exception. The centrality of churches makes them pivotal in alleviating something of the plight. They are not the panacea, but they do offer resting places in these challenging times. St. Godric's is obviously very central. The Parish Council advised by the St. Godric's Development Group are now looking at all possible ways of being a place of refuge. Those familiar with the Camino will know the term Refugio. This means what it implies - a refuge. You will be hearing more in this in the near future. Any thoughts, or possible support you might like to think of giving, please don't dismiss.
