Thought from Fr. Colm - 26th April

I hope you have all had a lovely break at Easter. What a wonderful celebration we have had in the parish, from the mini Triduum to last Sunday's Mass. Well done to our young people for their efforts with an overnight vigil on Holy Thursday into Good Friday morning. This was a very powerful statement of that quiet waiting on the Lord which is essential for our faith - and parish. Whilst our numbers were down for the Easter Vigil, the 10.00am Easter Sunday Mass was a wonderful large gathering in numbers especially of young families. How poignant that we gathered in such numbers when devastation was imposed on so many families in Sri Lanka. Our thoughts and prayers were very much with our fellow Christians. Can I thank all who put in so much time and effort by way of preparation for Easter. The list is very long. Many hours of hard, selfless work. And a personal thank you for Easter gifts.
