World Children's Day 2024

Today is the first World Children’s Day, a day to celebrate all the children in the church around the world. This idea was suggested to Pope Francis by a 9 year old boy called Alessandro last July. The Pope told him that he liked the idea very much, and now Pope Francis has made Alessandro’s idea come to life!


In our bidding prayers today we prayed for all the children in our Parish.


For all children in our Parish on this first World’s Children Day declared by Pope Francis. May they be guided in prayer by family, teachers and community and know that they are precious in God’s eyes, a source of great joy and a sign of everyone’s desire to grow and flourish.

Lord, in Your mercy.
