Liturgy Group

The Liturgy Group normally meet monthly and its key aim is to support Fr. Colm with the planning, coordination and review of the liturgical worship of the Parish with a specific focus on the celebrations that unite us as one parish in St Leonard’s School.

Members of the group liaise with musicians , readers , Eucharistic ministers , offertory processors, florists , collectors , school caretakers, chaplaincy co-ordinator, technicians and the bursar to ensure that these services are fitting celebrations for the parish of The Durham Martyrs

The group works with the SVP and Mini-Vinnie groups in the primary schools to organise the mini triduum service for the sick and the housebound which takes place at St Joseph’s on the Wednesday of Holy Week.

The group also plans and coordinates ad-hoc liturgical events and celebrations which arise throughout the year
