St Godric's Catholic Primary School

As we begin this new year, I would like to wish all our parish families a happy and healthy New Year. At St. Godric’s, we look ahead with optimism, continuing to support our children to grow in confidence, kindness and faith, guided by our shared values.

A reminder that if you wish to apply for a place at St. Godric’s School starting in September, the closing date is 15th January. Applications can be made via the Durham Council website:  https://www.durham.gov.uk/OnlineServices

We are so grateful to everyone who has helped our youth group get off to such a joyful start! Our young people have loved coming together—playing games, making crafts, sharing delicious food, and simply enjoying each other’s company.

As we step into the new year, we’re excited to keep building this welcoming space. We have planned some activities, but we’d also love to hear your ideas and suggestions. Together, we can make this a place where our youth feel at home, grow in friendship, and celebrate their faith.

Thank you to all who have helped our youth group to get off to such a joyful start!  As we move into the New Year we’re exited to keep building this welcoming space together.

Thank you to everyone who supported our Parish Christingle this afternoon. We had a lovely turn-out of children and their families. We watched a video about what each part of the Christingle represents before making our own. We moved to the body of the church where they were lit. The children then read some prayers to conclude the afternoon. Thank you to everyone who attended we look forward to seeing you next year.
