Parish News and Announcements

St. Godric’s is again involved in the national Heritage Open Days this year.

Being able to welcome visitors to our beautiful listed building, to explain a little of our history and give them an opportunity to look, learn and enjoy in a friendly atmosphere is always a wonderful  experience.

Here at St. Godric’s we are appealing across the whole parish to ask for any-one who has a little time to spare to help keep the church occupied during our opening  times- even an half  hour would be an enormous help!   If you are able to provide refreshments ( similar to a Sunday morning) that would be wonderful!

If you can help, please contact Kathleen Murray 07759130837. THANK YOU in advance!

Installation of New Windows at St. Joseph’s Church

During the installation period, there will not be any weekday Masses in church at St. Joseph’s, but in the Jubilee Room.  Weekend Masses will go ahead as normal.  Work is expected to last two weeks, commencing on Monday 15th September.

The new windows at St Joseph’s will be installed the week beginning the 15th September. Obviously, there will be a need to cease weekday Masses in the main body. Weekend Masses will be as usual and weekday Masses in the Jubilee Room.

There are a couple of seats available for pilgrimage to Holy Island. Looking forward to it.

We had a very informative and hopefully productive fundraiser for Refugees from Albania at Mary McHugh’s with an excellent presentation from Sr. Imelda. It brought home the very personal stories of pain and loss of those anonymous Refugees.
