Time change for Saturday Rosary in May 4:30pm

Please note a time change for our parish Rosary. You are welcome to join us to pray the rosary during May at 4:30pm on Saturdays BEFORE 5pm Mass at St Joseph's.

19th May 7:00pm Medieval music with short stories from the life of St. Godric

On Monday 19th of May at 7:00pm there will be an evening of pipe music given by Paul Martin (The Dunholm Piper) and Charlie Villis in St Godric's Church.

This concert will feature traditional and medieval music with short stories from the life of St. Godric. The music will include two of the hymns attributed to Godric himself as well as Northumbrian and Irish folk music.

Paul Martin will be playing Northumbrian and Uilleann pipes as well as a medieval bagpipe for the St.Godric hymns. With him will play local guest musicians on fiddle, flute, guitar, medieval drum and banjo. The short stories are being presented by Charlie Villis.

Tickets are £5 on the door ( under 16yrs free ) with all proceeds going to Durham Foodbank.

Film Evening 15th May St Joseph's 6:30pm

All are welcome to our next Film Night on our perfectly refurbished large screen in the Jubilee Room. Billy Elliot (2001)is the heartwarming tale of an 11year old coal miner's son (Jamie Bell) who's life is forever changed when he stumbles upon Mrs Wilkinson's (Julie Walters) ballet class during his weekly boxing lesson. Ice Cream, Wine and Juice will be served. Looking forward to seeing you there !
