Parish News and Announcements

Do you work for an organisation that can offer work experience to young people? Or do you have your own business and would be willing to host a pupil for a few days? There are a number of students in Year 10 and Year 12 at St Leonard's aged between 14-15 years old and 16-17 years old who are looking for four-day work experience placements from 14th-17th July. If there are adults in our parish who can offer work placements this could be a lovely opportunity to support the future of young people in our parish community. If you think you might be able to help, please email Catherine Taylor on catmarytaylor@gmail.com with an outline of the work experience that is on offer e.g. the name of the organisation, the type of work that the young person would be doing, the location of the role and the relevant contact for us to follow up, and we can make this available to the students as part of a wider selection of roles to choose from. If a student is interested in the role, we would follow up the relevant contact as needed. Many thanks for your consideration - any questions, please don't hesitate to contact Catherine.

To Celebrate Easter our Children's Liturgists organised cakes, activities, games and a scavenger hunt with prizzes for our children and families. It was a wonderful parish occasion.

We also had contributions from local charities and organisations in the form of banners and art work from Cheesey Waffles, RT Projects, Laurel Avenue Community Centre and our parish children joining us in our celebration of Easter.

Easter Sunday, 20th April 11:30am - 1:30pm in the Jubilee Room, St Joseph's Church

We would love this to be an opportunity for all of the children within the parish to come together to celebrate Easter. Those who attend Mass at St Godric's, St Joseph's or those who don't usually attend either are welcome to come with their families and spend a couple of hours having fun, eating cake, making friends and celebrating the special day together. Please RSVP to stjosephsinternationalgroup@gmail.com Please could any cake donations be brought to St Joseph's church on Easter Saturday or Easter Sunday either before or after Mass.
