Changes to Masses and Services W/C 28th October

Holy Day of Obligation Friday, 1st November, is All Saints’ Day.

Parish Masses will be:

10.00am at St.Joseph’s 

7.00pm at St. Godric’s.

Service of Word and Holy Communion will be held in St. Bede’s Presbytery for the next two weeks on Mondays and Wednesdays at 10:00 o’clock. Commencing Monday October 28th.

We begin the Journey in Faith shortly. This has always been an important activity in the parish down the years. It has been an excellent route for many hoping to be received into the Church. It has also been an important means for those already in the Faith to develop a wider indepth understanding of the Catholic Faith. Do join us when we begin. Bishop Stephen blessed the foundations of St. Leonard’s as building begins soon. We welcome Brother Lucien to the Capuchin Community in the parish.

Parish Baptism Programme postponement

The parish Baptism Programme has been postponed this autumn due to lack of numbers and we will offer the programme as usual in the spring of 2025.

A reminder that our parish offers a Baptism Programme for parents each spring, summer and autumn. We have a number of catechists to present, support and discuss this important Sacrament of initiation into our Catholic Faith. Parents who wish to participate next spring will be most welcome and we ask they

contact our parish secretary Mrs Marjorie Towers in the first instance.
