We are beginning to prepare those who would like to receive this sacrament and take this next important step in their journey of faith. We will be taking steps to encourage our young people wishing to receive the sacrament to fully 'embed' themselves in the parish, answering their call to be active disciples of Jesus Christ.

In the coming months, it is expected that the young people will actively engage in the life of their parish. This is to allow our young people to put their faith into action in concrete ways, such as assisting with children's liturgy, reading, serving refreshments, taking the collection, and other meaningful activities. I hope to recruit 'Parish Buddies' – people within each of our Parish Churches who will check in with the young people and support them on this journey. This mentorship is a vital component of the preparation, providing guidance and encouragement as they move towards receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation. If there are any willing volunteers to support with being a 'Parish Buddy' please do make yourself known via the list at the back of Church.

Parish Community Christmas Fayre on Saturday, 16th November, in St. Joseph’s Church at 10.30am

Preparations are now underway for our first Christmas Fayre. We are looking forward to a festive morning when we can enjoy time together an with our wider community. Each weekend, we will be collecting donations for our stalls.

Next weekend (19th/20th) will be ‘Chocolate Sunday’ and we hope everyone can bring a chocolate contribution (no matter how small) for our Chocolate Tombola Stall

Our parish and community groups will all be represented on the day and we look forward both to spending time together and to supporting some of our local charities who will also be in attendance.

To make this day a success we really need your help, not only to come along but to help with preparations and clear-up. Please sign up at the back of church if you are able to help, or contact Cynthia (cdunn2112@sky.com) or Erica (e.smith47@outlook.com).

Thank you for your support.

Also, please spread the word Santa will be attending and looks forward to meeting children in the community Ho! Ho! Ho!
